Meet Your Hostess

My name is Nancy Collins and I am pleased to be your hostess for the 12th Annual Dawn Doll Convention to be held in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I have been collecting Dawn dolls for the past 17 years and I still love the hobby! Over the years, I have made many friends and developed long-term relationships with other collectors who share my passion. I am happy to host this event for both old friends and new! The theme is Crocodile Dawndee. When I was thinking of a theme it was important to me to select one that reflected our unique location and would spark creativity in our very talented collectors. For the theme, think crocs and gators, boats, butterflies, swamp things, the great outdoors, nature, native Americans, sunshine, reptiles, pink flamingos, palm trees, Florida panthers, manatees and more. The official convention color is green, of course! I hope you have fun with the theme and enjoy getting to know Florida as you explore the theme more.

I will be calling upon friends, old and new, to help me with various details of the convention. I am working hard at keeping some elements of the convention a big surprise so I sincerely hope you will help me by refraining from discussing the details amongst yourselves. It will be much more fun for everyone if you let me shock and awe you! If there is something in particular you wish to contribute or do for the convention please do not hesitate to contact me.
