The convention will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel, across the street from the world famous Sawgrass Mills Mall. The Crown Plaza is a full-service luxury hotel facing the Mall, near the Fort Lauderdale beaches (about 20 minutes) and near Swedish home decor giant Ikea.

The room rate for Dawn doll convention attendees is $89.00 per night plus applicable taxes. These rates will be honored for three days before and three days after the convention if you wish to extend your stay. The rate is a special rate that can only be obtained by mentioning "Dawn Doll convention" when making your reservations. We have committed to a certain room block, so please follow these instructions. Both king and double rooms are available. Complimentary Internet service is included with all guest rooms as well. All rooms are equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator, dual phone lines and deluxe amentities. The hotel has a swimming pool so bring your bathing suit, if you wish. I am sure you will find the hotel to your liking!

Air Travel:

The closest airport is the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The airport code is FLL. This airport is located approximately 12 miles from the hotel.

International travelers may find it more convenient to fly to the Miami International Airport (airport code MIA).  MIA is approximately 28 miles from the hotel.

Taxis are readily available 24/7 at both airports. In addition, a special price has been arranged with Limo 1 of Weston. If you prefer to use a car service, please call 954-384-0966 (office) or 954-410-2810 (cell). Limo 1 is a highly reliable, safe, cost-effective alternative to a taxi. Please mention "Nancy Collins" and/or "Dawn Doll Convention" when making your reservations to receive the special rate. Reservations with Limo 1 should be made in advance to assure a driver is available. For your own safety, please do not use unmarked taxis or gypsy cabs.
